Terms of Service

Effective date: March 4, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Zulu Terminal, operated by OnFire Lab, LLC ("we," "us," or "OnFire Lab"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Zulu Terminal.

1. Description of the service

Zulu Terminal is an aviation safety intelligence platform. It provides pre-flight safety briefings, aircraft risk profiles, airport hazard assessments, NTSB accident report search, airworthiness directive alerts, and weather data. Briefings may be enriched by automated AI agents (powered by Anthropic Claude). Users can access the service as a guest (with limited features) or by creating a paid account.

2. Educational purpose and data accuracy

All data, reports, risk scores, and safety information provided by Zulu Terminal are for educational and informational purposes only. The information presented may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or otherwise incorrect. Data is aggregated from public sources including FAA registries, NTSB accident reports, airworthiness directives, service difficulty reports, and weather services. We do not independently verify the accuracy or completeness of this data.

You use Zulu Terminal and all information it provides entirely at your own risk. You should always verify critical safety information through official FAA, NTSB, and NWS sources before making any flight decisions. Zulu Terminal is not a substitute for official pre-flight planning resources, pilot operating handbooks, or the judgment of a qualified pilot or flight instructor.

3. AI-generated content

Zulu Terminal uses automated AI agents to generate safety analysis, risk summaries, and briefing narratives. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, hallucinations, or inaccuracies.

AI-generated content is provided for educational purposes only and does not constitute flight instruction, safety advice, legal advice, or FAA guidance. You are solely responsible for independently verifying any information before relying on it for flight planning or operational decisions. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Zulu Terminal. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By using the service, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

5. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You may also use Zulu Terminal as a guest without creating an account; guest access is rate-limited and does not include all features. You agree to notify us immediately at support@zuluterminal.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service, servers, or networks
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the service without our written consent
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service

7. Shared briefings

You may share individual briefings via a private, unguessable link. Shared briefings are read-only and display the briefing content, risk scores, and creation date. Shared links are not indexed by search engines.

By enabling sharing, you acknowledge that anyone with the link can view the briefing's content. You may revoke sharing at any time, which immediately disables the link. You are responsible for who you share the link with. Zulu Terminal is not responsible for any further distribution of shared content by third parties.

8. Not a substitute for official sources

Zulu Terminal is a supplementary information tool. It is not a substitute for official FAA publications, NOTAMs, pilot operating handbooks, weather briefings from official sources, or the judgment of a qualified pilot or flight instructor. All flight planning and operational decisions remain the sole responsibility of the pilot in command. We make no representations regarding FAA compliance, airworthiness, or safety outcomes.

9. Intellectual property

Your content: You retain ownership of any data you input into the service. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service to you.

Our content: The Zulu Terminal name, logo, website design, and underlying software are the property of OnFire Lab, LLC. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without written permission.

Third-party data: Safety data displayed in Zulu Terminal (including NTSB reports, FAA airworthiness directives, service difficulty reports, and weather data) originates from public government sources. We do not claim ownership of this data.

10. Billing and subscriptions

Zulu Terminal offers a free guest tier and a paid Pro subscription at $8.99/month. The paid subscription is billed monthly through Stripe and auto-renews at the end of each billing period unless canceled.

We may change subscription rates from time to time. If we increase the price, we will notify you by email at least thirty (30) days before the new rate takes effect. You may cancel before the new rate applies. Continuing your subscription after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated rate.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal in Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to paid features until then. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

If payment fails, your subscription may be moved to a past-due state. We will attempt to collect payment according to Stripe's retry schedule. If payment cannot be collected, your subscription may be canceled and your account will revert to guest-level access.

11. Privacy

Your use of Zulu Terminal is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Service availability and changes

We strive to keep Zulu Terminal available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OnFire Lab, LLC and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of Zulu Terminal. This includes, without limitation, any damages arising from reliance on safety data, risk scores, AI-generated content, or any other information provided by the service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is less.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

Zulu Terminal is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any data, risk scores, safety information, or AI-generated content is accurate, complete, current, or reliable. All information is provided for educational and informational purposes only. You assume full responsibility for any decisions made based on information from this service.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OnFire Lab, LLC from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the service, your reliance on any information provided by the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

16. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@zuluterminal.com. We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We will delete your personal data within 30 days of account closure, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.

18. Dispute resolution and arbitration

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of Zulu Terminal shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in the State of Delaware. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement of intellectual property rights.

19. Class action waiver

You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against OnFire Lab, LLC. If this waiver is found to be unenforceable, the entire arbitration clause in Section 18 shall be void (but the remaining Terms shall remain in effect).

20. Force majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, internet or infrastructure outages, third-party service failures (including cloud hosting providers), pandemics, war, terrorism, or labor disputes.

21. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or by operation of law. Any attempted assignment in violation of this section is void.

22. Export compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable export and re-export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations maintained by the U.S. Department of Commerce. You may not use or access Zulu Terminal from any U.S.-embargoed country or in violation of any applicable export law or regulation.

23. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving the original intent.

24. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and OnFire Lab, LLC regarding your use of Zulu Terminal. These Terms supersede any prior agreements, communications, or understandings, whether written or oral, relating to the subject matter herein.

25. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the site at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Zulu Terminal after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
